Presidential Trip to Asia: China
President Bush and Mrs. Bush tour the Great Wall of China, Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, in Badaling, China. President Richard Nixon visited the same Badaling area of the wall during his trip to China. "Thirty years ago, leaders of China and the United States acted together to put an end to mutual estrangement and open the gate for exchanges and cooperation between the two countries," said Chinese President Jiang of the historic trip.
