President George W. Bush greets Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the founder of Special Olympics, during a Special Olympics Global Law Enforcement Torch Run Ceremony Thursday, July 26, 2007, in the Rose Garden. The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run was begun in 1981 in Wichita, Kansas, by Police Chief Richard LaMunyon. Since then the torch run has expanded to all 50 states and 35 nations.
