Iraqi Olympic Wrestlers Headed to the United States
Iraq Fact of the Day

Iraqi wrestling teams will train for the 2004 Olympic Games at the United States Olympic Committee's training facilities in Colorado Springs, thanks to a partnership announced today between the U.S. State Department, U.S. Olympic Committee, and the International Olympic Committee. This partnership will help four Iraqi wrestlers and two coaches train for freestyle and Greco-Roman events. With the democratic elections of Iraq's National Olympic Committee and this new training initiative, Iraqis are sending a clear message that they are returning to the community of nations under the banner of freedom.
