Constitution Day

A second grade boy looks on as Mrs. Cheney demonstrates how the founding fathers used quill pens to sign the U.S. Constitution during Constitution Day at the Naval Observatory Sept. 17, 2002. In additions to signing the Constitution, children also learned about 18th century coins and making coin rubbings, created tricorn hats like those worn in the 1700s and played Constitution-era games.
