Legacy of Leadership Award
The White House Fellows
Association will award the 2001 Legacy of Leadership Award at the Annual
Meeting in Washington, DC, on October 25-26. Previous honorees include
Gen. Wes Clark ('75-76) and Kien Pham ('85-86). Selection criteria are
consistent with the founding purposes of the White House Fellowship Program
and a demonstrated lifelong commitment to public service and include:

have contributed to the White House Fellows Foundation's 2000-01 Annual
Giving Drive. 10 corporate matches added to the number of givers. Total
donations to date total $83,962. We can still use your help!

This is a reminder
that annual dues for the White House Fellows Association are payable now.
Dues for 2001 have been set at $100. There is also a Lifetime Membership

Fred Benson ('70-71) is retiring as VP for International Governmental Affairs at Weyerhaeuser Corp to become President of the US-New Zealand Council headquartered in Washington, DC.
Tom Bostick ('89-90) has been promoted to Brigadier General in the United States Army and reassigned to the National Military Command Center in The Pentagon, Washington, DC.

is a Senior Fellow for Economic and Foreign Policy Studies
at The Brookings Institution, Washington, DC.
Gary Hall ('99-00) is the Director of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Banc One Capital Markets, Inc in Chicago, IL.
COL Bob Edmonds ('95-96) will relinquish command of his F-15 fighter wing in St Louis, MO, to become the USAF Senate Liaison Officer in Washington, DC.
Peter Fiske ('96-97) has left Livermore National Labs to become Vice President for Marketing and Business Development with RAPT Industries in Livermore, CA.
Mike Froman ('92-93) is now Executive Director of the Emerging Markets Group of Citicorp in New York City.
Karen Galatz ('85-86) is Deputy Director of the Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services in Las Vegas, NV.
Adam Herbert ('74-75) is now the Regents Professor and Executive Director, Florida Center for Public Policy and Leadership, at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.
Francis James ('97-98) is Director, International Programs, Vera Institute of Justice, in New York City.
Bill Lennox ('86-87) has been nominated for promotion to Lieutenant General and as Superintendent at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Cynthia McCaffrey ('95-96) is Resource and Program Manager for UNICEF in New York City.
CAPT John Miller ('90-91) will assume command of the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CV64) in May.
Meredith Neizer ('86-87) is the Vice President for Central America of The Martin-Brower Company, LLC, in Panama City, Republic of Panama.
