OMB COST ESTIMATE
FOR PAY-AS-YOU-GO CALCULATIONS
- LAW NUMBER: P.L.106-424 (S. 2412)
- BILL TITLE: National Transportation Safety Board Amendments Act
- BILL PURPOSE: Authorizes appropriations for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and makes numerous changes to NTSB-related provisions.
- OMB ESTIMATE: Under previous law, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) could spend collections from the sale of aeronautical charts only to the extent provided by appropriations action. P.L. 106-424 allows the FAA to spend these collections without further appropriation action. OMB estimates that this change will increase direct spending by $85 million over 5 years.
