  2. BILL TITLE: Hawaii Water Resources Act of 2000
  3. BILL PURPOSE: (1) Requires the Secretary of Interior to conduct a study on water use issues in Hawaii; (2) Authorizes the conveyance of the Sugar Pine and Reservoir project in California; (3) Authorizes various water projects in the Colusa Basin Watershed, California; and (4) Contains miscellaneous provisions concerning other Bureau of Reclamation water projects.

OMB ESTIMATE: P.L.106-566 reduces offsetting receipts, which increases net spending by conveying the Sugar Pine Dam and Reservoir to the Foresthill Public Utility District; conveying of the Clear Creek water distribution system in Shasta County, California to the locally run Clear Creek Community Services District; and authorizing a one-time payment for the settlement of the City of Dickenson, North Dakota's scheduled repayments for the remaining obligations to the Bureau for constructing the Dickinson Dam Bascule Gates.
