P.L. 106-82 requires NASA to convey the Ames Research Center's Crows LandingFacility to Stanislaus County, California without payment. Under current law, theGeneral Services Administration expected to offer this property for sale in fiscal year2002 after certain environmental remediation was completed. OMB estimates that theproperty would have sold for $6 million.
