President Signs Social Security Protection Act of 2004
Statement by the Press Secretary

On Tuesday, March 2, 2004, the President signed into law:

H.R. 743, the "Social Security Protection Act of 2004," which amends the Social Security Act and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, to include establishing remedies for misuse of benefit funds by representatives of beneficiaries and increasing protections against program fraud.
