Jimmy Orr
White House Internet Director, 2001-2004
Jimmy Orr served as White House Internet Director and a spokesman for the White House from January 2001 to December 2004. As the White House Internet Director, Orr directed the content of the White House web site and oversaw the team that programs and designs the site.
Named as one of the top 25 who are changing the world of Internet and Politics at the fourth annual World Forum on E-Democracy, Orr and the web team focused their efforts to make the White House more accessible to the public through interactive features such as "Ask the White House," and a strong offering of video and unique content.
Prior to working for President Bush, Orr was the Press Secretary for Wyoming Governor Jim Geringer, Deputy Director of Communications for U.S. Senator Malcolm Wallop and Staff Assistant for U.S. Senator Al Simpson. Orr graduated from Principia College with a B.A. in Political Science.
